Video
Transfer of video is a complex process, and there are options to consider. Our brief video transfer CHECKLIST can help you organize and plan your project ahead of time.
Videotape
Direct digital transfer to flash drive or DVD. Formats available for videotape conversion are mini DV, 8mm, Hi8, Digital 8, VHS, VHS-C, Digital8 and Betamax.
The cost per tape is $18.50 (up to two hours.) This provides you with a digitized copy of your video (for no additional cost, we perform editing on your video, which corrects for glitches, color problems, lighting, audio, etc.)
DVD copies are $8.50 each.
Film
Frame-by-frame transfer to file or DVD.
This process involves:
- cleaning and lubricating the film, thus rejuvenating it and producing increased clarity.
- taking a snapshot of each frame.
- knitting together these snapshots to create a video.
- DVD menu and packaging where applicable.
Beyond our $10.00 setup fee, the cost for transferring film is $0.30 per foot. Background musical tracks can be added for an additional $0.05 per foot.
